Butler Snow Advisory has added six new team members, including Henry C. Agent, strategic advisor; Michael Billings, strategic advisor; Lauren Cannada Lomax, senior research analyst; Clark Love, strategic advisor; John Reece, senior advisor-technology; and, Andy Wimberly, senior advisor-executive coaching.
Argent has more than 15 years of experience providing strategic financial leadership to companies ranging from small, local businesses to publicly traded entities across a variety of industries and stages of growth. Agent’s background in public accounting led to experience as a corporate controller then as a chief financial officer for multiple companies. He received a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Millsaps College.
Billings has years of experience serving in a business development, consulting and advisory capacity to a number of large companies in the Dallas, Texas, area. Billings received a bachelor of science in business administration from Belhaven College.
Lomax has served as a project manager for Fidelis Public Policy Group, a leading Southeast U.S. public policy consulting firm formed to foster economic development in Mississippi. She also served as a judicial clerk for The Honorable James Maxwell, Mississippi Court of Appeals, and was a legislative aide for current Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.). She received a juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi, where she served on the Moot Court Board, the Public Interest Law Foundation and with the Civil Legal Clinic and the Criminal Appeals Clinic. Lomax received a bachelor of arts in English from Auburn University.
Love most recently worked in the areas of new product development and management consulting and has advised a number of large corporations on strategy and direction. Love has held leadership positions in e-commerce, web marketing, financial services and banking companies. He received a master of business administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was named a Kauffman Fellow, and received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mississippi.
Reece’s career in the high-tech industry spans 47 years dating back to 1965, where for 25 years he held management positions in production and financial planning for IBM. Since then, he has remained on the forefront of the technology evolution by providing operational management and leadership, ranging from financial planning and analysis, manufacturing and quality control to customer support and site operations for innovative technology enterprises specializing in computer hardware and software and e-commerce. Reece received a bachelor of science in accounting from Mississippi State University.
A financial planner for 30 years, Wimberly developed a successful financial services business headquartered in Jackson. During his years developing a successful practice assisting clients with their financial needs, he discovered he had a passion and knack for helping clients find clarity and a more fine-tuned sense of purpose in their daily professional and personal lives. In 1996, he began incorporating “life coaching” as a service offering, and watched as it quickly outgrew the financial services side of his business.
