GULFPORT — Developers of Gulfport’s waterfront Harbor Town Casino say they have bigger and better plans to present to the Mississippi Gaming Commission on July 19.
In May, the Gaming Commission has asked casino developer Rotate Black to try again.
Rotate Black CEO John Paulsen tells the Sun Herald the new plan increases the investment from $87 million to $100 million.
Paulsen says developers will bring in a four-star hotel with an upscale swimming pool area and cabanas.
Paulsen declined to identify the hotel but says it will now have 200 rooms. Previously 100 hotel rooms were planned in the first phase of construction.
The size of the casino has swelled by 14,000 square feet to 35,000 square feet.
Paulsen says he expects the resort to employ about 700 people.
