Glen Campbell still championing Alzheimer's research

We are happy to report that Glen Campbell is still going strong.

It has been seven months since the country music legend included Jackson on his farewell concert tour.

The 76-year-old Grammy Award winner has enjoyed renewed popularity after going public last year with his diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Proceeds from his Thalia Mara Hall concert last February went to benefit Alzheimer’s research at the MIND Center at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Campbell will be performing for a final time in Little Rock, Ark. tonight at the Robinson Center Music Hall. He relies heavily on a teleprompter for performances and recently canceled a planned tour of Australia and New Zealand with Kenny Rogers. According to a Sydney newspaper, Campbell couldn’t recall his wife’s name while singing “Happy Birthday” to her but later recognized himself in a photograph with Elvis Presley.

In the below video from MBJ-TV, Campbell’s children Ashley and Shannon talk about their father’s condition as well as his desire to raise awareness and research money to fight the disease.
