PCORI selects Millette



Dr. Clarke Millette, professor of anatomy at William Carey University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, has been selected to serve as a grant application reviewer for the Patient Center Oriented Research Initiative Program. Millette’s role will be to participate in the initial review process for grant applications that fall into his general areas of expertise. Millette received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Rockefeller University in 1975. After completing a two-year research fellowship at Harvard Medical School, he remained there for 12 years as an assistant and associate professor. During that time he taught anatomy and cellular biology and also worked as a staff scientist in the laboratory of human reproduction and reproductive biology. After leaving Harvard in 1989, Millette became a tenured professor of anatomy and cell biology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He joined the WCUCOM faculty in April 2010 and has major teaching responsibilities in histology and medical biochemistry as well as participation in courses in physiology and neuroscience. Millette has also been chosen as a member of the editorial board for the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.
