Cashmans sell The Vicksburg Post after 130 years

According to the The Vicksburg Post website, it has been sold to another newspaper company, Boone Newspapers, ending 130 years of ownership and operation by the Cashman family of Vicksburg.

The sale, which was completed Thursday, came after “a lot of study, prayer and thought,” said Louis P. “Pat” Cashman III, the great-grandson of John Gordon Cashman, who founded the newspaper in 1883.
