Beginning Thursday, the Mississippi Farmers Market will extend its days of operation to accommodate the increase of available produce. Summer operating hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Mississippi Farmers Market provides an outlet for Mississippi farmers to sell directly to the consumer. The market also provides an assortment of fresh baked goods, specialty foods and Mississippi handcrafted items.
The Market at 929 High St., adjacent to the fairgrounds, will celebrate its 2013 Summer Kickoff on June 8. For more information about the market or to find out what’s fresh each week, call (601) 354-6573, visit www.msfarmersmarket.com, or visit the Mississippi Farmers Market on Facebook.
