Concrete testing company to plead guilty to defrauding NASA, Corps

DIAMONDHEAD — A company hired to perform concrete-strength tests at Stennis Space Center in 2011 is scheduled to accept a plea agreement to making false statements on jobs performed for NASA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The Sun Herald reports court records show Gulf Cities Testing Laboratories, LLC, once based in Diamondhead, has notified federal court of its intent to plead guilty today.

The company was charged with two counts in a bill of information in April.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the charges involve false statements to NASA about tests on three diffusor pads on a flight engine test stand and on several structures at the Army Ammunition Plant.
