CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia — Jonathan Holder pitched out of a ninth-inning jam Monday afternoon to give Mississippi a 6-5 win over Virginia in the completion of a suspended game and a berth in the College World Series next weekend in Omaha, Neb. MSU won the NCAA Super Regional best-of-three series two games to none.
Virginia scored twice in the top of the ninth and had runners on second and third, but Holder got Derek Fisher to ground out to end game.
