Lyons, who played on the New York Mets’ 1986 world championship team, will be one of the legends of the game signing autographs during the five-day T-Mobile All-Star FanFest at the Javits Center. He will also be involved in a 5K & Fun Run on Saturday at Prospect Park that will benefit Superstorm Sandy Relief, which devastated the New York City area nine months ago.

“I will be speaking to many of the victims of Superstorm Sandy based on my experiences with Hurricane Katrina,”’ Lyons said told the Sun-Herald newspaper in Biloxi. “I will be talking about Major League Baseball’s support of me after that. I will share with those who have suffered.
