BRANDON — Liquor will flow in Brandon.
The Clarion-Ledger reports voters yesterday approved a referendum that will allow liquor sales within the city limits.
Including absentee ballots, 3,051 voters said yes and 1,190 said no.
As a cost-saving measure, all six wards voted in City Hall and paper ballots were used.
Brandon is the seventh city to approve liquor sales over the last eight months.
Mayor Butch Lee said the Board of Aldermen will quickly act on an ordinance for liquor sales to be done at restaurants only.
