New farmer's market opening delayed by bad weather

The popularity of farmer’s markets continues to grow, though some residents in North Mississippi are having to wait just a little longer to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables.

The Frisco Homegrown Market will open tomorrow night at Frisco Park in Amory. It was scheduled to kick off this past weekend but was delayed by the heavy rains that pounded most of the state.

The Frisco Homegrown Market’s hours will be Saturdays from 7 a.m.-10 a.m. and on Tuesday evenings from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. through October. In addition to food, the market will also offer some arts and crafts.
