After resigning, health care CEO to stay on as consultant

TUPELO — John Heer, who last month resigned as president of North Mississippi Health Services, will remain a consultant with the organization.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that the agreement keeps Heer with the health care group through Aug. 31, 2014.

Other managers will lead the company while a search is conducted for a new president.

The organization also has named Donna Lewis Pritchard interim administrator for North Mississippi Medical Center.

Mike Denham, administrator of surgical services, will take on additional duties as interim chief operating officer of NMMC, while NMHS vice president of human resources Rodger Brown will serve as interim vice president of community hospitals.
