WS Development is pleased to announce the lease renewal for the long standing fashion icon Maison Weiss. The store has been at Highland Village since it was founded by Nell and Bernie Weiss in August of 1975. Their Grandson Ken Szilasi and his wife Tracy have been running the store since the early 1980’s. Maison Weiss has been the center of fashion in Jackson and they pride themselves in being the first to bring new brands and unique high fashion merchandise to Mississippi. The store has a long term dedicated staff and a very loyal shopper base in the community.
“We are happy to continue to serve this market as we have for the past 38 years in this location which is so convenient to get to at exit 100”, said Ken Szilasi, owner of Maison Weiss.
Massachusetts based developer WS Development plans to enhance the center with design elements that celebrate its vibrant history and highlight the energy of the center as a focal point of the Jackson community. “We are thrilled that Maison Weiss has extended their lease.” said Dick Marks, Partner, WS Development. “This iconic brand has served the high fashion market of Jackson for many years and will serve as the cornerstone of fashion at Highland Village delivering top name fashions and first to the market brands.”
