MDOT reports icing on roads but no closures

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) has released an update on road conditions as winter weather moves through the state.

MDOT reports ice has been detected on roadways and bridges in dozens counties. These counties include Warren, Winston, Clay, Panola, Leflore, Lafayette, Holmes, Oktibbeha, Lowndes, Itawamba, Union, Lee, Pontotoc, Webster, Yalobusha, Montgomery, Carroll, Calhoun, Humphreys, Monroe, Tunica, Tate, Marshall, Alcorn, Tishomingo, Chickasaw, Tallahatchie, Coahoma, Bolivar and Sunflower.

There are currently no road closures at this time.
