MDEQ raises water contact advisory for Coast beach

OCEAN SPRINGS — The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, has lifted a water contact advisory that was issued February 20 for a beach monitoring station in Ocean Springs.

The advisory has been raised for Station 17-St. Andrews Beach.

Water samples at this station show the area has attained acceptable bacteria levels.
