Planters Bank has made several promotions. Chris Makamson has been promoted to the new position of vice president/credit administrator. Makamson has worked in banking for 20 years with eight years at Planters Bank’s Indianola office. He received his B.P. in accounting from Mississippi State University and is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking and the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking. Makamson is serving as president of the Indianola Rotary Club and has served as president of the Belzoni Rotary Club. He is married to the former Naomi Watson of Corinth.
LeAnn Cummins was promoted to assistant vice president/compliance. Cummins attended Delta State University. She has been in banking for 20 years and been with Planters Bank for 11 years. She worked in the Ruleville office for seven years before joining the Compliance Department where she has worked for the past four years. She attended Delta State University, and she is active with the Boy Scout Troup 4442. She is married to Gary Cummins, Jr, and they have two children, Joseph and Adam.
Chandra Hines was promoted to compliance officer. Hines has 10 years of banking experience. She joined Planters Bank seven years ago, initially working in the Greenville office before joining the Compliance Department. A native of Laurel, she has a B.S. in business administration from Mississippi State University and earned her masters in community development at Delta State University. She is married to Dr. Albert Mark Hines, and they have six children — Titus, Gracie, Kristain, Nicholas, Tymera and Mark.
