PSC named Katherine Collier executive secretary

The Mississippi Public Service Commission (PSC) has unanimously voted to name Katherine Collier to the position of executive secretary replacing Brian Ray, who has elected to retire after over 30 years with the agency. The transition would be effective July 1. Collier is currently a senior attorney with the PSC and is a life-long resident of Mississippi having grown up in Scooba. Before coming to the PSC in 2009, Collier was director of legal operations, child support enforcement for the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

As chief executive of the PSC, the executive secretary requires approval of the Mississippi Senate. If approved, Collier would be the first woman to hold that position.
