Two years ago, Austin Morgan was named COO and secretary/treasurer of T.L. Wallace Construction Company, a Columbia-based construction firm with nearly 300 employees.
However, the University of Southern Mississippi graduate was hardly intimidated by his new responsibilities.
In 2013, T.L. Wallace Construction was recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of the Top 100 privately owned businesses in the state. The company boasts seven divisions, including commercial, heavy civil, disaster response, asphalt, industrial, utilities and professional services.
Morgan, 33, says the key to success is keeping an open mind and possessing the ability to task outside of your job description.
If he had to describe himself in one word, Morgan would say, “determined.”
Morgan enjoys home improvement projects and spending time with family.
