PASCAGOULA — Pat Keene, a former president of Ingalls Shipbuilding and leader in the push for the Mississippi Maritime Museum in Pascagoula, has died. He was 75.
Officials at Heritage Funeral Home say Keene died Sunday. No other details were released. A list of survivors was not immediately available.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victories in Pascagoula.
Keene served many roles at the shipyard in a career spanning four decades He was vice president of operations at Ingalls for 17 years. He became president of the shipyard in 1999. He retired in 2001.
Keene started as an engineer in Ingalls nuclear submarine program.
Keene was a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, with a bachelor of science degree in marine engineering.
