CORINTH and CLINTON — The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has issued certificates of need (CONs) for two projects.
Magnolia Regional Health Center of Corinth received CON authority for the amendment/cost overrun to CON #HG-RC-0910-032; R-0828 (construction, renovation, relocation and expansion of a health care facility).
The original capital expenditure for this project was $22,528,128. The additional capital expenditure is $10,546,002, making the revised total capital expenditure for this project $33,074,130.
Clinton-based Bio-Medical Applications of Mississippi Inc., d/b/a Fresenius Medical Care – West Hinds County received a CON to establish a 10-station satellite End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) facility. The current ESRD facility is located at five miles away at the Fresenius Medical Care – Southwest Jackson location. The applicant states that relocating the ESRD services will provide residents in West Hinds County with a more convenient and accessible facility while relieving the patient loads at other Fresenius facilities.
The total capital expenditure for this project is $3,815,643.
