Tunica Municipal Airport lands more USDOT money for hangar

airplane money_rgbTUNICA — The U.S. Department of Transportation is giving the Tunica Municipal Airport an additional $1.1 million to help pay for a new hangar.

U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson says Tunica County is receiving $2.5 million from the federal agency for the current federal budget year, which ends Sept. 30.

The county will receive the other $1.1 million during the budget year that begins Oct. 1.
