GREENVILLE — A former director of the Greenville Parks and Recreation Department has pleaded guilty to an embezzlement charge.

State Auditor Stacey Pickering said yesterday that Yvette Yeager will be sentenced next week.

Yeager was accused of embezzling $85,155 from the City of Greenville from October 2007 through September 2012.

Pickering says the investigation began after the city reported revenue losses at the public golf course for several subsequent years.

Pickering says Yeager has been issued a demand letter for $115,892, which includes interest and investigative costs.
