Jackson attorney Michael J. Bentley, a senior associate in Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP’s Appellate Litigation Practice Group, has been appointed to the board of governors of the Fifth Federal Circuit Bar Association. Bentley has litigated appeals of all types in state and federal court and has served as appellate counsel at trial for significant litigation matters.
He also currently serves as chair of the Mississippi Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section. In addition, Bentley previously served as the president of the Jackson Young Lawyers Association, as a director for the Mississippi Young Lawyers Division and as a volunteer pro bono attorney for clients referred by the Mississippi Center for Justice and Southern Poverty Law Center.
Bentley received his J.D. (summa cum laude) from Mississippi College School of Law and also has a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Millsaps College.
