Barbara Logan Smith named executive director

Barbara Logan Smith has been named the next executive director of Teach For America–Mississippi. Logan Smith, formerly the vice president of the Efficacy Institute, a national nonprofit focused on increasing academic achievement and character strength for all students, will formally enter the role in January.

Logan Smith, who began her professional career as a teacher in Milwaukee’s public schools, has 19 years of experience developing the leadership capacity of students, educators, administrators and business executives.

She is currently completing her Ph.D. in education and leadership at Cardinal Stritch University.
