DLA extends contract with Merchants Foodservice

HATTIESBURG — Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has extended its 18-year relationship with Merchants Foodservice to provide food and other products for the U.S. military in the Mississippi/Louisiana region.

DLA awarded the subsistence prime vendor contract to Merchants for the next four years for the supply and distribution of food and non-food products.

Terms were not disclosed.

The contracting authority for this prime vendor award is Defense Supply Center Philadelphia.

Merchants will continue to provide for procurement, shipping, warehousing and distribution service for food and non-food products for all service branches of the U.S. military bases located in the Mississippi/Louisiana region.
