GodwinGroup promotes, changes titles

GodwinGroup has made two promotions and several title changes. James “Jimbo” Harwell has been promoted to director of design. Harwell’s career includes both freelance and agency graphic design and art direction for a wide variety of clients. His design and art direction has contributed to the success of numerous client campaigns, both digital and traditional. Harwell has worked on accounts including Trustmark, Mississippi Power, Mississippi Department of Education and Great American Steamboat Company. He also contributed to the new brand standards for GodwinGroup, as well as updates to the agency’s interior office design.

Jessica Russell has been promoted to senior content writer. As a member of Godwin’s creative team, she is heavily involved in the creation of web and video content as well as advertising copywriting applications. At GodwinGroup, her projects include client brands. Russell earned a bachelor of arts in advertising from the University of Southern Mississippi.

In other changes, the agency has updated its personnel structure and titles to reflect evolving client needs and industry standards. Stacye Rinehart is now senior vice president, creative strategy. Rinehart will continue to provide strategic creative guidance and oversight for client projects across a broad strata of traditional and digital platforms.

Glenn Owens is now senior vice president, digital strategy and user experience. Owens will continue to lead the agency’s digital creative department. His responsibilities include developing digital strategies for a wide variety of client projects in the digital realm and e-market.

Gary Ballard’s title becomes Creative Technology. Ballard’s role is creative digital development and execution. Gary uses his technological expertise across both web-based and other digital platforms.
