The Delta Regional Authority has launched The Delta Challenge — a series of entrepreneurship-pitch competitions, according to a news release.
One of five competitions will be held in Jackson on Feb. 27. Information on the time and location will be posted at dra.gov/entrepreneur
. Others will be held in Missouri, Louisiana, Arkansas and Alabama.
“The DRA’s Entrepreneurship Network will provide regional entrepreneurs and support organizations with the additional connections, access, and tools they need to achieve entrepreneurial success and support their local communities,” DRA Co-Chairman Chris Masingill said.
The authority will also select up to 16 support organizations to participate, the release said.
Regional winners will showcase their ideas March 20-27 in New Orleans. Deadline for applications is Feb. 15.
The authority is a federal-state partnership that promotes economic development in 252 communities across eight states.
