VICKSBURG — The superintendent of a national park in Kentucky is coming to Vicksburg as acting superintendent of the Vicksburg National Military Park.
The Clarion-Ledger reports that Bill Justice’s appointment begins Feb. 8.
He’s currently superintendent of Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park in Hogenville, Kentucky.
This won’t be his first time working for the National Park Service in Mississippi. His 30 years’ service has included work at Natchez National Historical Park.
He has held positions in interpretation, law enforcement and management of several National Park areas, also including the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, Fort McHenry National Monument, and Carlsbad Caverns National Park.
