Contractor workshops scheduled at Hattiesburg

Reluctance to add workers is waning across the South, the Atlanta Fed reports.The Mississippi Development Authority will kick off its Model Contractor Development Program workshop series at on Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hattiesburg Intermodal Facility, at 308 Newman Street.

The nine, three-hour weekly workshops, designed to teach small contractors and businesses how to improve operations and increase bonding capacity, will be held consecutive Thursday evenings through April 16.

Workshops are free, but participants must enroll in the Mississippi Contractor Procurement Network system (www.mscpc.com). Participants much attend at least seven of the nine sessions to complete the course.
