Jim McArthur, deputy director of the Mississippi Development Authority, will depart the agency on Feb. 27 to take a position in the health-care sector in Oxford, according to the agency.
McArthur joined MDA in August 2012 after being regional sales manager in energy and water management solutions for Itron Inc., a Washington state-corporation.
“Jim has consistently worked to strengthen our business recruitment, retention and expansion efforts,” Executive Director Brent Christensen said in a prepared statement.
“He has helped us create thousands of jobs for Mississippians, and he has cultivated goodwill in the community and with our partners.”
McArthur said in an email that he will be working with The Blake, an assisted care community in the Oxford Commons.
