BILOXI — The Biloxi City Council has set April 28 as the date of a special election to fill the remainder of former Mayor A.J. Holloway’s term, which ends July 1, 2017.
Candidates must quality for the special election by 5 p.m. April 8. A runoff, if needed, will be May 12.
The Sun Herald reports those who have already announced they are running are Councilwoman Dixie Newman, former Harrison County District Attorney Cono Caranna and Biloxi businessman Andrew Gilich.
