BILOXI — Acting Biloxi Mayor Kenny Glavan says he intends to enter the mayor’s race.
The Sun Herald reports that will bring to nine the number of candidates running so far, with David Bull and Jesse Kennedy, who both ran in the last election, possible last-minute filers on Wednesday.
Glavan didn’t answer any questions after his announcement. He did say he will hold a news conference and explain why he decided to run.
He was voted acting mayor in part because he said he would not run in the special election that was called after former mayor A.J. Holloway resigned.
