|Movie theater seating manufacturer VIP Cinema Seating is making a $2 million investment in its New Albany plant that will create 50 jobs, bringing employment to approximately 350, according to release from the Mississippi Development Authority on Tuesday.“We are pleased to be able to expand operations, and we appreciate all the support from the Mississippi Development Authority, Three Rivers Planning, city of New Albany, as well as Union County,” said VIP Cinema Seating President and Chief Executive Stephen Simons.
The Mississippi Development Authority provided $100,000 for building renovations and workforce training valued at $200,250, according to Tammy Craft of the MDA public relations staff. Union County provided in-kind assistance for the project.
