The Millsaps-Louis Wilson Fund Team earned second place in the Mid South CFA Institute Research Challenge in Memphis. The CFA Institute and the CFA societies of Memphis, Mississippi and Arkansas sponsored the competition that attracted teams from Millsaps, the University of Mississippi, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Rhodes College, Harding University and the University of Memphis.
The team from Millsaps included MBA students Sam Wursteisen of Houston, Charlie Strauss of Houston, Texas and Julien Speyer of Birmingham and Millsaps senior Alex Barnes of Metairie, La.
Dr. Walter P. Neely, CFA, and professor of finance at Millsaps, is the faculty adviser for the Millsaps-Louis Wilson Fund team. Roger Muns, CFA, adjunct professor at Millsaps, helped direct the team, and Julius Ridgeway, CFA, who earned his M.B.A. at Millsaps, acted an industry mentor for the team.
