Greg Word has has been named senior vice president of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership. Word will lead the organization’s economic development activities, as well as facilitate the Greater Jackson Alliance, the four-county economic development arm of the parent organization.
Word has been with the Mississippi Development Authority the past two years. Prior to his work with MDA, Word held positions with the North Mississippi Industrial Development Association and Mississippi State University.
At MDA, Word played an instrumental role in marketing with regard to recruitment, retention and expansion of national and global economic development clients.
Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership CEO Duane O’Neill said, “Greg is truly one of the rising stars of Mississippi’s economic developers.”
