Adams and Reese has added three products liability attorneys to its Jackson office, including Special Counsel Charles R. “Chip” Wilbanks, Jr. and Matthew R. Dowd, and Associate G. Austin Stewart, who are laterals from Brunini, Grantham, Grower & Hewes.
Wilbanks has close to 30 years of experience practicing law in Mississippi and concentrating his practice in product liability litigation, including silica defense, medical device litigation and pharmaceutical litigation. Wilbanks also represents clients in church law and litigation, insurance defense, real estate and property litigation and construction litigation. He has been recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers in Class Action/Mass Torts, Insurance Coverage, General Litigation, and by Best Lawyers in America in Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions- Defendants.
Dowd has been practicing law in Mississippi for 10 years, and he currently focuses his practice on product liability defense, in particular, silica defense, and also commercial and insurance litigation, personal injury, mass torts and premises liability. Matt has been recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Stars in General Litigation.
Stewart has been practicing law in Mississippi for eight years, and he was the former lead associate for the Brunini silica defense litigation team.
