MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley has ordered Confederate flags to taken down from the grounds of the state Capitol, the latest move to banish the divisive banner from state capitals, store shelves, license plates and monuments.

  1. “and monuments.” The people who gave their lives will have their flag taken down. For them and family, it’s sacred and time honored. I can not in good conscience vote for Gov Bentley and will persuade everyone possible to turn against him. There’s not a good reason to take down the sacred confederate flag from the grave sites of past soldiers.
