Changes at Pascagoula port

Port of Pascagoula Director Mark McAndrews has announced two staff changes. Randy Joplin has been promoted to deputy port director, operations, for the Jackson County Port Authority.

Joplin has served the Port of Pascagoula as manager, safety/harbormaster since 1998. His prior maritime experience includes commercial shipping and steamship agency operations in various ports in the Gulf of Mexico, including Pascagoula. Joplin also served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1983 to 1991.

He replaces Allen Moeller, who is retiring. George Clifton (Cliff) Porter will join the Port staff as the manager, safety/harbormaster. A Jackson County native, Porter has worked in the maritime industry for over 30 years. He began his career with Colle Towing Company in the Port of Pascagoula following graduation from Delta State University. Most recently he has held the position of General Manager Pascagoula Fleet and Business Development for Signet Maritime Corporation (formerly Colle Towing Company).
