Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Batiste elected

Tenesha D. Batiste, district director of Human Resources at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the College & University Professional Association for Human Resources Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast chapter. She also served on the group’s program committee in 2014-2015. Batiste joined MGCCC in July 2014. Since that time, she has led a restructure of the District Human Resources department. Batiste has served in several leadership positions in human resources, training and organizational development for municipal government, and in the healthcare industry during the past 11 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/journalism, with an emphasis in public relations, and a Master of Business Administration degree, with a human resources management concentration. She is pursuing a doctorate in human capital development from The University of Southern Mississippi.
