For the third year in a row, Mississippi University for Women has been named one of the best colleges in the nation to work for and the only Mississippi institution named to the Honor Roll, according to a survey by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
It also was the third consecutive year for MUW to be named to the Honor Roll, reserved for a small number of colleges and universities deemed by The Chronicle. The results are based on a survey of nearly 44,000 campus employees who “were more likely to feel acknowledged, supported, well informed by their leaders and engaged in a common mission.”
Employees rated MUW highly enough in 10 out of 12 categories for the university to be designated as a 2015 Great College to Work For and Honor Roll. Those categories: Collaborative Governance; Confidence in Senior Leadership; Facilities, Workspace & Security; Job Satisfaction; Professional/Career Development Programs; Respect and Appreciation; Supervisor/Department Chair Relationship; Teaching Environment; Tenure Clarity & Process; Work/Life Balance.
