Stephanie Allison joins forestry staff

Stephanie Allison, a wildlife biologist and natural resource manager has been selected as Ecosystem Staff Officer for the National Forests in Mississippi. Her program responsibilities include wildlife, fisheries, recreation, heritage, engineering and fleet.

Most recently, Allison worked as Refuge Manager on the Theodore Roosevelt NWR Complex for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. She previously served as Wildlife Biologist on the National Forests in Mississippi Delta Ranger District and Biological Technician on the National Forests in Florida Osceola Ranger District.

Allison’s broad range of field experience has led to development of many productive partnerships. Through her work with partner organizations and agencies, such as Ducks Unlimited and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, thousands of dollars have been leveraged for habitat restoration and recreation improvement projects on public lands in Mississippi.

A native of Lake City, Fla., Allison attended the University of Georgia and received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Forest Resources, Wildlife Management. Her career began with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Olustee, Florida. She is married, has one son, and lives in Yazoo City.
