Baptist Memorial Hospital–Golden Triangle in Columbus has received the American College of Cardiology’s National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) ACTION Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2015. The hospital is one of 319 hospitals in the United States to receive the honor.
The award is based on how well the hospital followed guidelines for treating heart attack patients. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a high standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that Forrest General has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.
To receive the award, Baptist Golden Triangle consistently followed the treatment guidelines in the ACTION Registry–GWTG Premier for eight consecutive quarters and met a performance standard of 90 percent for specific performance measures.
