has joined Waggoner Engineering as a new graduate engineer in the firm’s water resources department.
Bryant will focus primarily on FEMA flood mapping projects, hydraulic studies for bridge replacement projects and other drainage-related projects and studies.
A Jackson-area native, Bryant graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University last May.
While a student, she served as a mentor for first year engineers and as captain of Mississippi State’s concrete canoe team, which participated at the national competition at Clemson, S.C., in June. She spent two weeks last summer in Zambia as part of the Engineers Without Borders project, installing hand-pump water wells and assessing future drill sites.
Waggoner is a full-service economic development, project management and engineering firm headquartered in Jackson.
