The National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals (NAPAP) has selected Cal Rackley, CPA, of Watkins, Ward & Stafford, PLLC in Starkville as one of the 2015 “Top 10 Public Accounting Professional Rising Stars” in Mississippi. The award is designed to recognize outstanding public accounting professionals who have been practicing for less than 15 years.
Rackley joined Watkins, Ward and Stafford in 2006 and attained the position of Partner in 2014. He concentrates his practice in the areas of income taxation and business advisory services. In addition to working with individuals, he also specializes in accounting and taxation services for partnerships, corporations, trusts and estates.
Rackley graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Taxation from Mississippi State University in 2007 and 2009 respectively. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was awarded the Silas M. Simmons Award for outstanding achievement on the 2009 CPA Examination.
In the community, Rackley is an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Starkville, where he currently serves as a deacon, chairman of the Missions Committee, and a member of the Budget and Finance Committee.
