C. Meade Hartfield has joined Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP as counsel in the Financial Services and Litigation practice groups. She will split time between the Birmingham and Jackson offices.
Hartfield has represented clients nationwide in a variety of industries, including financial services, drug and medical device, automotive, aviation, industrial equipment, insurance, and environmental. Her financial services practice includes representing financial institutions and mortgage companies in defensive litigation matters throughout the country, including alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Truth in Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and state deceptive trade practices laws. She also spearheads regulatory compliance services in response to pending or new legislation.
Hartfield earned her B.A. (summa cum laude) and B.B.A. (summa cum laude) at Mississippi State University and her J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Mississippi. She is an member of the Defense Research Institute, where she serves on the Publications Board, Drug & Medical Device Committee, and as Annual Meeting Chair of Women in Law. She has been named to Alabama Super Lawyers and a Mid-South Super Lawyers “Rising Star” and was included on B-Metro’s 2015 list of “Top Women Lawyers.”
