Allison Washington of Jackson has been named Director of Communications for the Mississippi Arts Commission.
For the past 10 months, Washington served as Special Initiatives Director for the Mississippi Arts Commission. Previously she was the Music Trails Program Manager for Visit Mississippi, the state’s tourism division under the Mississippi Development Authority.
Washington holds a B. A. in Communications from Belhaven University, is an advisory board member of the Mississippi Book Festival, an alternate member of the Mississippi Blues Commission and in the 2016 class of Leadership Greater Jackson.
