Molpus buys 87,225 acres in Florida and Georgia

The Molpus Woodlands Group LLC, a timberland investment management organization headquartered in Jackson, announced Monday in a news release the purchase of approximately 87,225 acres of timberland in northern Florida and southern Georgia from affiliates of CLAW Forestry Services LLC.

Molpus currently has 2 million acres under management in 18 states, valued in excess of $2 billion.

Molpus acquires, manages, and sells timberland as investments for pension funds, college endowments, foundations, insurance companies, and high-net-worth individuals.
