Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area’s plans are now under way for 2016 Women Build. On March 8, from 4-7 p.m., Bliss in Banner Hall will host an event to support this year’s Women Build. Ceramic Easter bunnies will be on sale for $20, and buyers will be entered for a drawing for a luxury gift basket from Bliss. Finalizing plans for the event are Caroline King of Bliss, Women Build Steering Committee Chair Maura Jelliffe and Co-chair Kathryn Simmons, and Cathy Joyner, owner of Bliss. The 2016 Women Build in the Mississippi Capital Area will kick off May 7, the Saturday before Mother’s Day. Over the course of seven Saturdays in May and June, 150-180 women volunteers will construct the house, which will be part of the Greenview Drive development in South Jackson.
