Shannon Fryery, FNP-BC, has been named director of Telehealth for North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo.
Fryery will oversee the Telehealth program and will see patients as a family nurse practitioner for infectious disease. She is responsible for training and recruiting staff, standardizing processes, exploring growth opportunities and onboarding providers.
For many years Fryery has treated patients at Garfield Clinic. She has held numerous management and leadership roles since joining the North Mississippi Medical Center staff in 1999, including serving as director of Nursing Leadership, Meaningful Use Coordinator, nurse manager for outpatient services at Women’s Hospital, Spirit of Women Coordinator and breast health specialist.
Fryery holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is past board member of Mississippi Nurses Foundation, past board president of the Susan G. Komen North Mississippi and past president of the Mississippi Statewide Immunization Coalition.
