The First, A National Banking Association, recently made made Krystal Phillips the Branch Manager at the 40th Avenue office in Hattiesburg, and named Wilson E. (Billy) Brunt as Market President Commercial Lender in Jackson.
Phillips was born in Beaufort, S.C., and grew up in Jacksonville, N.C. She attended Coastal Carolina Community College. She has more than 11 years of Bank Management and Retail Development experience. Phillips volunteers with Southern Pines Animal Shelter, is involved with the 2016 Leadership Pinebelt Class, and recently served on a medical mission trip in the Dominican Republic with Venture Church.
She and her husband, Brett Phillips, live in Hattiesburg. She enjoys family, friends, hunting and watching movies.
Brunt joins The First with over 33 years of commercial banking and management experience. He was born in Tunica and graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi in 1982, with a BSBA. He continued his education at Louisiana State University in the Graduate School of Banking of the South, finishing in 1989.
Brunt is a member of First Ridgeland Baptist Church, Director of the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce, Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, and the Mississippi Kidney Foundation.
Brunt lives in Madison with his wife Linda, son Jordan L. Brunt, and grandson Mason L. Brunt.
The First is headquartered in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
